Dr. Daniel Bear and the Cannabis Education Research Team (CERT) attended CannExpo, Toronto’s cannabis trade show, to recruit new participants to their latest research project.
CERT’s Pharmacists as Cannabis Educators (PACE) project aims to equip pharmacists with the knowledge and resources to address cannabis-related questions from consumers.
Dr. Bear also presented a seminar discussing CERT’s findings from a recent ARTP-1 project on how to effectively engage cannabis consumers in discussions about how to get the best possible experience with cannabis by employing mindful consumption and benefit maximization principles.
PACE, funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), is in partnership with Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Canadian Pharmacists Association, Canadian Centre for Substance Use and Addiction and Canadian Public Health Association.
